What is SquaddUp?
SquaddUp is a companion-finding app for events and activities. Post an activity — anything from a hiking trip to a game night — and find people to join you. It's activity-first, not profile-first.
How do I create an account?
Tap Sign Up and register with your email or sign in with Google or Apple. You'll need to verify your email before you can post or join activities.
Is SquaddUp free?
Yes. Creating an account, browsing activities, joining activities, and chatting are all free. An optional SquaddUp+ subscription removes ads and unlocks activity boosts.
Activities
How do I find activities?
Use the Explore tab to browse activities near you, or switch to Map view to see them on a map. Filter by category, vibes, price, date, and more.
How do I join an activity?
Open an activity and tap Request to Join. The host will review your request and accept or decline. You can include an optional message to introduce yourself.
How do I create an activity?
Tap Post Activity in the navigation. Fill in the details — title, description, date, location, spots, and cost — then publish. You can also set up recurring activities and add a cover image.
What is the waitlist?
When all spots are filled, new requests are added to a waitlist. If a spot opens up (someone withdraws or is removed), the next person on the waitlist is automatically promoted and notified.
Trust & Safety
What is the trust score?
After each activity, participants can rate each other and mark attendance. Your trust score is calculated from these ratings and your show-up rate. A higher score helps hosts feel confident accepting your requests.
How do I report someone?
On any activity detail page or user profile, tap Report. Select a reason and add optional details. Our team reviews all reports. Users who receive multiple reports are automatically flagged for review.
How do I block someone?
Visit their profile and tap Block. Blocked users cannot see your activities, message you, or interact with you. You can manage your block list in Settings > Privacy.
What are 18+ activities?
Some activities are marked as 18+ by the host. To view or join these, you must verify your age using a government-issued ID through our secure Stripe Identity verification. Your ID is processed by Stripe and is never stored by SquaddUp.
Payments
How do payments work?
Activities can be free, split cost (participants coordinate payment via Venmo, PayPal, or Cash App), or subsidized (host covers the cost, processed via Stripe).
What is the refund policy?
For subsidized activities, refunds are automatically processed when an activity is cancelled or when a participant withdraws — unless the host has marked the activity as non-refundable.
Account
How do I reset my password?
Go to the forgot password page and enter your email. You'll receive a link to set a new password.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings and scroll to the bottom. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data, activities, and messages will be removed.
