Welcome to SquaddUp. These terms govern your use of our companion-finding platform for events and activities. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using SquaddUp, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use SquaddUp. By using the app, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. Certain activities may require additional age verification.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as needed. You may not impersonate another person or create multiple accounts.

4. Acceptable Use

SquaddUp is a companion-finding platform for events and activities. You agree to:

• Use the app only for its intended purpose — finding and joining real-world activities
• Treat other users with respect and courtesy
• Not post fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive activity listings
• Not use the platform for commercial solicitation, spam, or advertising
• Not harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Not upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others
• Not attempt to circumvent safety features, moderation tools, or age restrictions

5. Activities

SquaddUp facilitates connections between users for real-world activities. We do not organize, supervise, or guarantee the safety of any activity. You participate at your own risk. Hosts are responsible for the accuracy of their activity listings.

6. Trust Score & Feedback

After participating in an activity, users may leave feedback including a rating and show-up confirmation. Your trust score is calculated from this feedback. You agree that your trust score may be visible to other users. Abuse of the feedback system (e.g., coordinated negative reviews) is prohibited.

7. Content & Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you post (photos, text, etc.). By posting content on SquaddUp, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content within the platform. You may not post content you do not have the right to share.

8. Safety & Reporting

SquaddUp provides reporting and blocking tools. If you feel unsafe or encounter a user violating these Terms, use the in-app report feature. Accounts that receive multiple reports may be reviewed and suspended. SquaddUp uses automated content moderation but is not responsible for all user-generated content.

9. Privacy

Your use of SquaddUp is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and share your information.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. SquaddUp reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a safety risk to the community. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.

11. Disclaimers

SquaddUp is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy of user-provided information, the safety of any activity, or uninterrupted access to the platform. SquaddUp is not responsible for the conduct of any user, whether online or offline.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SquaddUp and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, participation in activities, or interactions with other users.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or via email. Continued use of SquaddUp after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
